OKLAHOMA CITY - An Oklahoma family has an amazing story to tell after a 15-year-old helped deliver her baby brother.

Newborn baby, Elgyn Sanchez has already captured the heart of his big sister.

"He's a little cutie," said Kendra Sanchez.

It's a very special relationship that began on August 20th, around 2 a.m.

Kendra was sleeping, right down the hall, when her very pregnant mom began screaming.

"She asked me to get her hospital bag. So, I went to the closet and I brought it for her, put her tooth brush in there," said Kendra.

By the time the 15-year-old high school sophomore returned, her baby brother was already making his grand entrance! And Kendra was the doctor.

"I caught him and wrapped him up and tied the umbilical cord and gave him to my mom," said Kendra.

Dad arrived soon after and called 9-1-1.

Moses Sanchez told the EMSA dispatcher, " I rushed home and she had the baby on the bathroom floor and my daughter delivered her."

Except for the bathroom floor, it was a perfect delivery.

Kendra is a hero with her family and EMSA medics.

John Graham said, "We'll be hiring her if she ever decides to be a paramedic."

Elgyn is home and healthy and mom and dad are extremely proud of big sister.

Mom, Alison said, "She showed great maturity. She just handled it so well. She just did an amazing job."
