TECUMSEH, Okla. – Officials are warning residents in Tecumseh to stay calm when sirens sound on Saturday.

The City of Tecumseh is changing the day workers test storm sirens.

In the past, the sirens always sound at 12 p.m. on Wednesdays.

However, authorities say the tests will now take place at 12 p.m. on Saturdays.

The change will begin on Saturday, Sept. 27.

Organizers say they felt the change was needed to make more citizens familiar with the sirens in case of emergency.
