Oklahoma transportation superintendent killed in accident

JAY, Okla. – The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says a transportation superintendent has been killed in a work zone accident.

ODOT says 47-year-old Jarrell Gray died Wednesday morning in the accident on Highway 20 near Jay.

The department says Gray was supervising a brush removal project when he died.

ODOT says details of the accident are under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The agency says Gray is the 60th employee killed in the line of duty in the department’s history.
