DUNCAN, Okla. – An Oklahoma woman is accused of asking one of her former cell mates to kill her parents.
On Nov. 25, Raquel Marie Sanchez, 29, allegedly sent a letter to an inmate at the Stephens County Jail, asking her former cell mate to kill her parents for $500.
“My parents don’t respect me and treat me as an (expletive) child,” the letter reportedly said. “My plan is to hire someone for $500 and have them come to the door and shoot my mom and (stepfather) in the head. Are you up to the job? I need some peace in my life and someone’s got to die for the rest of us to live. Please, it’ll be easy. If not, I will find a guy.”
Sanchez’s mother, Maria Taylor, told the local newspaper that her daughter had even asked her to mail the letter.
Sanchez’s parents were shocked when investigators showed them the letter, a police report stated.
Taylor says her daughter is not mentally well.
She told the Duncan Banner that her daughter was diagnosed with mental disorders in 2011.
“This is not my daughter. My daughter loved me and her dad. This is what’s going on in her mental state,” Taylor said. “Before (the diagnosis) she would have given people the shirt off her back.”
Sanchez was arrested Dec. 1.
She is facing charges for two counts of attempted solicitation of murder in the first degree.
