ST. LOUIS - Police in St. Louis are searching for a missing Oklahoma woman.

She drove there last week to visit friends and family and hasn't been seen since Friday.

The only trace left behind was her infant child who was found abandoned at an apartment complex.

Ebony Jackson Shelton, 30, lived most of her life in St. Louis but was currently living in Moore with the baby's father, Craig Prom.

She left Oklahoma last Wednesday to show the baby to her family and friends.

She visited several people but then early Friday morning, 4-month-old Donovan Prom was discovered sitting in his car seat with a bottle out in the hallway of an apartment complex.

Neighbors were shocked.

"It's a baby," apartment resident Jazmin Stone said. "The baby can't fend for itself so it is like, what can you do? Whatever parent it is needs to be locked up cause why would you leave your child? That's your flesh, that's your child. It's shocking. It hurts. It do."

But the baby's mom was nowhere to be found and officials are also still searching for her vehicle.

Family in St. Louis printed up flyers with her picture and posted them around the apartment complex where Donovan was found.

One of Jackson Shelton's last phone calls was to her cousin.

"Her last call indicated she was with someone so I'm asking that person, please, if anybody saw her with somebody, please call the police because she was with someone," her aunt, Jackie Simon, said.

"She called me all the time," cousin Jatouris Simon said. "Nobody's heard from her so this is not like her."

"It's very upsetting, I mean, you know, for her to just to disappear like that without any warning," friend Jerry Mitchell said. "I have to feel like something has happened."

Donovan's father, Craig Prom, traveled to St. Louis to prove paternity and get his son out of state custody.
