Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office investigating murder-suicide

MOUNDS, Okla. – The Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident believed to be a murder-suicide.

On Sunday, deputies responded to the 2300 block of North 186 Road near Mounds after receiving a 911 call about two people being found dead.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found 45-year-old Jeanna Bailey from a gunshot wound. Bailey’s husband, 49-year-old Emmett Bailey, was also found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Officials say they are investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide, and are not looking for any suspects.
