One dead, three injured in seven vehicle pileup on Turner Turnpike

LINCOLN COUNTY, Okla. – One person is dead and three others were injured after a seven car pileup that shut down part of the Turner Turnpike Friday night.

The accident happened shortly before 5 p.m. near Wellston, forcing officials to shut down at least one eastbound lane of the highway, according to officials.

In total, ten people were involved in the accident.

Three were taken to the hospital, where they were treated and released. A fourth person, who officials have identified as Deborah Magness of Oklahoma City, died on the scene.

Officials were forced to shut down part of the highway for almost three hours as they worked the scene.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
