One man in custody after leading officers on foot chase in NW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY – One man is in custody after leading police on a foot chase early Friday morning.

Around 2 a.m., a police officer pulled a man over for a routine traffic stop when he noticed a gun in the driver’s pocket.

The driver then ran away through an apartment complex in the 5600 block of NW 23rd.

Police later found a gun laying on the ground in the area.

Around 3:45 a.m., with the help of a K9 unit, police officers located the man and took him into custody.

Police say the gun was stolen.
