OKLAHOMA CITY – Two people are injured after a shooting in southwest Oklahoma City.

Officials responded to the area near S.W. 74th and S. May Ave around noon in reference to a shooting at the Seminole Ridge apartments.

When police arrived, they found one man with a gunshot wound on his left leg. They also found a woman with a laceration on her forehead.

Police say it started when there was a verbal argument between two apartments.

“The gunshot victim had went over there with his phone and he was filming it and placing it on Facebook,” said Lieutenant Sky Kays with the Oklahoma City Police Department. “The other parties involved wanted him to mind his own business, things escalated and an unknown shooter shot him one time in the leg.”

The man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. His girlfriend was also taken to the hospital to be treated.

“She does not live close to where the argument was, apparently the victim of the shooting went over there intentionally to film it and place it on his Facebook account because he thought it was funny,” Lt. Kays said.

The shooter is still outstanding, police say, and they are investigating.
