Original iPhone now a collector’s item?

Hold the phone, the iPhone 2G is now being advertised as a collector’s item on eBay.

One sold last month for over $1,500

It seems that the original, non-3G iPhone has risen sharply in value after becoming obsolete.

If you have one in mint condition, or one that is new, you may be able to pocket a quick $1,000 or more.

Unfortunately, the only ones that are selling on eBay for over $1,000 are ones that are new or are in perfect condition.

This means, if your devise is “Used” you can only expect to get less than $100 for it.
