CARTER COUNTY, Okla. — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into a jail death in Carter County.

Before noon Wednesday, 21-year-old Everett Park was found unconscious inside his jail cell, deputies say.

He was reportedly the only inmate living in that cell at the time.

Park was transported to Mercy Memorial hospital in Ardmore when doctors pronounced him dead.

The medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine his cause and manner of death.

Park was arrested Tuesday morning for first degree murder.
