OSBI investigating homicide of Wetumka man

WETUMKA, Okla. (KFOR) – The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is investigating the murder of a Wetumka man that occurred late Tuesday night.

Officers with the Wetumka Police Department were called to a home in the 500 block of South Wetumka Street regarding a possible fight.

Officers arrived and made contact with two residents. They went inside the home and found a 59-year-old man dead.

Officers took a 28-year-old resident into custody at the scene.

The Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has not identified the victim at this time.

“OSBI will release a more detailed statement when charges are presented to the district attorney’s office,” a Hughes County Sheriff’s Office news release states.

The investigation is open and ongoing.
