STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma is expected to see some inclement weather over the next few days. That’s less than optimal for football Homecomings.

A flash flood watch is in effect for the Stillwater area from 1 a.m. Thursday until 1 p.m. Friday.

Stillwater Emergency Management says they will be monitoring weather conditions to ensure the safety of OSU students working on house decorations Thursday evening and Friday morning.

Students will also be alerted by the Emergency Management and the Alumni Association to go inside if there is any lightning in the area while they are working on house decs, according to a statement.

But the weather won’t stop the festivities. Walkaround will start at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23.

Attendees are encouraged to monitor Stillwater weather conditions and take precautionary measures if severe weather is eminent Friday evening.

If severe, life-threatening weather is in area and poses a threat to crowds, Emergency Management personnel will clear the streets closed for Walkaround.
