STILLWATER, Okla. — The college coed who originally reported she was raped is now declining to pursue legal action against the accused suspect.
The Oklahoma State University Police Department said they discovered inaccuracies in the alleged rape at Village D apartments that was first reported to police Friday evening.
They say the victim and suspect were not strangers.
During interviews Monday, the victim said she had been talking with the alleged assailant for several hours leading up to the reported assault.
OSU Police say she has recanted her statement that she was threatened at knife-point while walking back to her apartment.
They said she was, in fact, in her apartment.
She went downstairs and allowed the suspect to enter her apartment complex and her room.
The victim has declined to pursue prosecution of the suspect.
