NORMAN, Okla-The countdown is on tonight for the kick-off to the Sooners' football season.

As you know, OU takes on the Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech tomorrow night.

Fans were up early for a chance at the best tailgate seat in the house.

Students say they're ready to wear their crimson colors and kick off football season right.

The sooner you get here, the sooner you stake your tailgate claim.

"Oh, we got here about 5 a.m. this morning," said OU freshman Dylan Cudd.

Students threw around footballs or studied, waiting until noon when they can officially put the tents up.

"I was offered $100 dollars twice for this spot earlier," said OU junior Ashton Wise.

OU even has monitors making sure everyone follows the OU Land Rush tradition.

"I love football, I love the football tradition here," Wise said.

There's no horn or whistle, but you know it's noon when all the tents start popping up.

It does look a little easier than it is, but these Sooners have got it under control.

"Tailgating at OU is a very competitive thing, you got to get a big setup and if you don't, you don't get looked well upon if you don't get set up," said OU freshman Connor Holasek.

It seem like these guys have nothing to worry about.

"We got a lot of tents set up, we've got grills, we're going to have food, drinks, corn-hole going," Holasek says.

The game kicks off tomorrow night at 6 p.m. against Louisiana Tech.
