MT VIEW, Okla – 6 year old Tucker Johnson was a cheerful, radiant little boy.

But in July of 2011, the little man with the big smile, hungry for adventure … was killed in a go-cart accident.

Rather than let grief consume them, Brian and Misty Johnson launched a “BE KIND” crusade. Misty said, “It’s a reminder to all of us. It can’t hurt to ask people to be a little kinder. It’s been awesome.”

Family and friends began designing, printing and selling T-shirts. The initial goal was to build a piece of playground equipment at Mt. View Elementary. Misty told us,”That one piece turned into an entire playground. Tucker Town.”

The Johnsons have donated library books, bicycles for tornado children and hundreds of other random acts of kindness, all in the name of Tucker.

That’s why longtime friend, Connie Leitner nominated the Johnson’s for Pay It 4ward. Leitner said, “It’s a great honor and I’m excited, so let’s do it.”

We surprised the Johnsons recently at a small town bank. They were filled with joy and gratitude for the $400 gift.

Tears of joy & gratitude immediately fill the room. Misty told us, “I don’t feel right taking this. I feel like i’m repaying it, honestly. We are overwhelmed by all the kindness when we lost Tucker. I appreciate it very much.”

In 2 1/2 years, “Random Acts of Kindness 4 Tucker” has spread to 20 states and several countries.
Brian and Misty are already planning their next commission. They are designing more shirts and saving to help a little girl battling a brain tumor.
