HARRAH, Okla. -- Tonight's pay it forward is the story of a woman consumed by grief. Sharon Cargill lost her mother and was still grieving five years later.

Her sorrow ended the day she turned into a building in Harrah and filled the void in her heart with newfound love for the folks who live there.

It’s a quiet summer morning, but one can listen for the joyful sounds inside. Music orchestrated by volunteer Sharon Cargill.

Marlea Bond says, "She makes them feel special. She's just infectious."

She brings a special friendship to those who live here.

"People are so busy they don't have time for them. And Sharon makes all the time that she has," Bond says. "We don’t' know what we'd do without her. She gets in here. She paints walls. She goes out and buys things. She's adopted residents."

David Fiesel, with Spirit Bank, says, "It sounds like Sharon does so much to volunteer for all the residents here. Spirit Bank and NewsChannel 4 are happy to give you $400 to pay it forward to her for everything she does for you and your residents."

The surprise just seconds away.

Sharon Cargill says, "They've healed my heart. After I lost my mother, I couldn't minister to her anymore, but I sure could find a lot more Mama's and Daddy's."

Cargill has changed these halls and the people who walk them.

"We're going to start a garden sun room for them. We had a garage sale. We bought some new furniture for back here," Cargill explains.

She is always looking for ways to make life better for the residents. This book logs the countless hours she's spent doing just that.

Her only reward is the hugs of those she's come to love.
