Witnesses reported seeing the plane go down in a field about six miles northwest of the town of Mangum, around 5:30 p.m.

The “Beechcraft Baron” went down just west of State Hwy 34, killing everyone on board.

The three victims are 53-year-old Stephen Scott, 45-year-old John Hall and 20-year-old Edi Ortega.

Officials have not determined exactly what caused the plane to go down but witnesses say the aircraft appeared to be having engine trouble.
