UPDATE: 4.15.13 PLEASANT GROVE, Utah – Megan Huntsman, 39, is facing six potential murder charges after she confessed to killing her six babies over a 10-year period.

Huntsman’s boyfriend, who had been living in the same home as Huntsman, said she struggled with alcoholism and previous drug abuse.

According to KTSU, Huntsman’s boyfriend claims he had no idea there was an alleged darker past.

He is shaken up and trying to make sense of it.

Huntsman’s next door neighbor trusted her and even let her watch her children.

“She was real nice. She babysat my kids. From my youngest son to my oldest at 10,” said West Valley City neighbor Josh Flowers.

While Huntsman is the only suspect, police are not ruling anything out.

“We aren’t closing the door to anything,” said Pleasant Grove Police Chief Michael Smith. “We just like anybody else have questions that we want answers for we want to know from certain people what they knew or what they didn’t know and how it was possible.”

UPDATE: 4.14.13  PLEASANT GROVE, Utah –  Pleasant Grove police arrested a woman Saturday who they said admits to giving birth to at least seven babies, then strangling or suffocating six of them to death immediately after they were born.

Megan Huntsman, 39, faces six charges of first-degree felony murder in connection with the deaths, all of which allegedly occurred between 1996 and 2006 at her former residence in Pleasant Grove.

Fox13 reports Huntsman told police she also gave birth to a stillborn baby at the home according to a probable cause statement.

Police responded to the home Saturday after receiving a report from Darren West, Huntsman’s estranged husband, that he found a baby wrapped in a plastic garbage bag in the garage at the residence.

Police searched the home and report finding six additional bodies each wrapped in a towel or shirt, placed inside a plastic bag and then put into a cardboard box.

On Monday morning, Huntsman went before a judge and her bail was set at $6 million dollars.

A woman has been arrested for allegedly killing six children she gave birth to, according to police.

According to Fox 13 News, 39-year-old Megan Huntsman was arrested Saturday after seven bodies of her infants were found dead.

Police believe Huntsman killed these children over a 10-year period.

Police reportedly started investigating after residents who were cleaning out a garage and discovered a dead infant inside a container.

When authorities arrived, they found the infant to be at full term, according to a press release from the Pleasant Grove Police Department and Fox 13 News.

Officers obtained a search warrant and discovered six other infant bodies — all stored in separate containers.

Huntsman is facing six counts of murder due to the evidence police found.

Police officials later told FOX 13 News that there are six charges because investigators believe one of the seven was a stillborn child.
