DEL CITY, Okla. – Authorities have identified the three suspects involved in a high-speed chase through the metro Friday.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office arrested the driver, 24-year-old Wesley Kidder, and the two passengers, 23-year-old Curtis Spencer and 24-year-old Bethany Hightower, after the chase ended near Reno and Sunnylane.

Two of the suspects were placed on stretchers and loaded into an ambulance.

Deputies were responding to a burglary call at a home on the 11000 block of N. Dobbs.

Authorities said they attempted to pull over the white GMC Denali but the driver refused to stop.

OCSO spokesperson Mark Myers said the SUV reached speeds of 110 miles per hour so law enforcement backed off because it wasn’t safe.

“Fortunately because of our local news organizations, they had their helicopters up, they were able to follow the suspect and we just kind of tracked it,” Myers said.

Bob Moore Chopper 4 Pilot Jon Welsh and photojournalist Marc Dillard followed the SUV and captured video of the suspects dumping something out of the window.

Authorities said they recovered drugs.

Deputies followed the SUV and watched it clip a pole near I-40 and Sunnylane.

The driver eventually stopped and bailed out near Reno and Sunnylane.

Kidder faces multiple charges including burglary, larceny of a trailer, eluding a deputy, driving under the influence of drugs, reckless driving and failure to stop at a roadblock.

Hightower was arrested on charges of burglary and larceny of a trailer.

Spencer will face complaints of burglary and larceny of a trailer.

He also had an outstanding warrant for a violation of a deferred sentence.

All three suspects were taken to the hospital to be checked out and will be booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
