OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police have found a "badly decomposed" body in northeast OKC.

The body was found in a vacant lot near a wooded area at N.E. 9th and Jordan.

Reports say that two young boys were playing basketball, when the ball rolled away. When they went to get the ball, that's when the kids say they saw clothes and a bone.

"Basically, it was just that the children were outside playing and they discovered a dead body," Dialma Hildreth said. "We live in a fairly quiet neighborhood, and this is a first for us."

Lt. Gregory says it is unclear right now if the body is a male or female.

Police are waiting for the medical examiner to reach the scene.
