OKLAHOMA CITY – A fitness trainer was arrested following a fight at a local gym.

On Wednesday, officers were called to Gold’s Gym on W. Memorial Rd. after witnesses called police, saying that two men were fighting inside the gym.

After stopping a car that matched the description of one of those involved, police met 33-year-old Ettiene Edemidiong.

According to the arrest affidavit, Edemidiong told police that one of his clients was having a problem with her ex-husband.

After he finished working out, Edemidiong found out his client’s ex-husband was back in the gym.

The report claims the man said, “What’s your problem?” before raising his fists in front of face.

Edemidiong told officers that he was scared for his life, so he started fighting with the victim.

Edemidiong told police that when they ended up wrestling on the ground, he was still scared so he started to bite the victim.

The report says that witnesses told police that Edemidiong came back into the gym holding something in his hand, which they believed was a knife.

The arrest affidavit says the victim had a severe bite mark on his chest, along with a laceration on his stomach and a couple of puncture wounds.

Edemidiong was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.
