Man arrested in connection with deadly assault at NE Oklahoma City store

OKLAHOMA CITY- One man was beaten and a woman was stabbed outside a Family Dollar store at NE 23rd and Martin Luther King Ave. on Saturday night.

Authorities say the man, 62-year-old Ronnie Lee Temple, was taken to an area hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The woman was treated at the scene.

The female victims was able to give authorities a vague description, and police were able to locate the suspect.

Police say an investigation revealed that a physical altercation occurred between Smith and Temple, which escalated into Smith assaulting the victim with a dangerous weapon.

Ronnie Eugene Smith, 54, was arrested for the complaint of murder in the first degree.
