Update: Oklahoma City man wanted for murder arrested in Kentucky

UPDATE: Authorities in Kentucky say they have arrested a man connected to a murder in Oklahoma City.

Police confirm that 23-year-old Travis Richards is in custody and will appear in court on Thursday.

 

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City Police have released the name of a victim in a deadly weekend shooting on the city’s southwest side.

Officers say Jason Beals, 39,  was gunned down at 3329 and 1/2 SW 51st Saturday around 4:00 p.m.

According to police, officers found the Beals dead in a garage apartment behind the main house.

Investigators say the suspect is a white male wearing all black and was last seen driving away eastbound on 51st in a maroon Dodge SUV.

Witnesses have been interviewed by police, but no arrests have been made.

Right now, police are looking for 23-year-old Travis Wayne Richards in connection with the homicide.

Police say Richards has active warrants for his arrest.
