Police investigate shooting in northwest Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY – Police are investigating a shooting in northwest Oklahoma City.

The shooting was reported around 9 p.m. on Monday at a 7-Eleven in the 400 block of N. Rockwell Avenue, near N.W. 10th Street.

Police said a 30-year-old man was shot once in the leg and then transported to a hospital with no life-threatening injuries.

The man first said he didn’t know who shot him or why but later said there was an altercation earlier in the day that possibly led up to a car driving by and shooting in his direction.

No other information has been released at this time.
