OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Authorities say a standoff ended after a person took their own life in southeast Oklahoma City.

On Tuesday afternoon, officials encouraged drivers to avoid the area around S.E. 50th and Stiles in Oklahoma City as officers were involved in a standoff.

Investigators say they were trying to serve a warrant, but say one suspect refused to come out of a nearby home.

Shortly before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, authorities announced that the standoff had ended after the suspect took their own life.

At this point, it is not known what the warrant was in relation to or the identity of the suspect.
