SEATTLE, Wash. - Authorities in Washington have launched an investigation after a man drowned at a water park in Seattle over the weekend.

On Saturday, lifeguards at Wild Waves Theme Park pulled the body of 32-year-old Vijayarengan Srinivasan out of one of the pools.

Police told Q13 that Srinivasan had just moved to Washington two weeks prior to the accident.

A police report indicates that lifeguards were told about a body in the water, but one thought it was a joke while another said the water was too murky to see anything.

In fact, investigators believe the victim may have been underwater for as long as 15 minutes before lifeguards found him.

Authorities say they stumbled upon his body while searching for someone's glasses that had fallen in the water.

Park officials told Q13 that they are cooperating with investigation into the man's death.
