OU Medical Center was placed on lockdown Thursday night after a large fight.

The lockdown has since been lifted.

Around 7 p.m., things got heated behind the front doors of OU Medical Center’s emergency room.

The fight may have been connected to a shooting earlier in the day, police said. Police estimate 30 plus people were involved.

Oklahoma City Police Officer Jeff Dutton walked right into the middle of it.

“Those people were quickly evacuated back out into the parking lot where the disturbance calmed down and then the hospital shortly after that was put on lockdown,” Dutton said.

There were several different stories about weapons being shown, police said.

“We can’t confirm that any weapons were shown or if that was actually involved,” Dutton said.

Nobody was injured in the disturbance.

No arrests have been made, but they have taken people in for questioning.
