HARRISON, N.Y. – A retired police officer reportedly killed his two teen daughters on Saturday before taking his own life.

According to NBC New York, 52-year-old Glen Hochman, who recently retired from the police force, killed himself after killing his teen daughters.

Officials say one or more pets were also killed.

“The White Plains Police Department is shocked and horrified by the news of this tragic event,” said David Chong, White Plains public safety commissioner. “We can only pray for the Hochman family.”

Harrison Police Chief Anthony Marraccini says officers discovered the bodies after an unidentified person called authorities.

Chief Marrccini says Hochman’s wife and the couple’s oldest daughter were not the ones to discover the bodies.

Hochman served in the police force for 22 years.  Last year he received a lifesaving award from the department.
