OKLAHOMA CITY– Police are still speaking with employees and customers at a local pharmacy after a man and a woman attempted to rob the store and ended up firing a gun.

Officers were called to the Walgreens near SW 59th St. and Pennsylvania Ave. around 3 p.m. after a pair of thieves attempted to rob the pharmacy.

Authorities say the crooks walked up to the pharmacy counter and pulled out a gun.

At some point, one of the suspects began firing.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Witnesses say the suspects fled the scene in a white minivan with tinted windows.

At this point, officials do not know if the thieves made off with any money or drugs.

Police say they are still speaking with customers to try and get a good description of the pair.

It is unknown whether the crime was caught on the store’s surveillance camera.

Investigators say they have closed the store to collect evidence.
