Power restored after brief outage in Edmond

EDMOND, Okla. – A large power outage affected multiple Edmond schools Wednesday.

Officials say around 2,000 Edmond Electric customers were without power for about 30 minutes Wednesday.

Sequoyah Middle School, Northern Hills Elementary, and the University of Central Oklahoma were also affected by the outage.

No word on what caused the power outage at this time.
