A Korean automaker has issued a recall on one of its most popular vehicles.
Hyundai says it is recalling over 880,000 Sonatas from the 2011 through 2014 model years.
The company says the automatic transmission cable can separate from the shift lever.
If that happens, the lever may not show the right gear, making a crash more likely.
If a driver puts the car in park, the automobile could still be in gear causing it to roll away.
Hyundai has received just over 1,100 warrant claims so far.
There is no information as to whether this problem has caused any injuries or crashes.
The company says it will notify owners through the mail between now and the end of September.
Hyundai says owners with questions can call customer service.
