DUNCAN, Okla. - An isolated case of bed bugs has been reported at an Oklahoma high school.

The Duncan High School principal sent out a letter last week alerting parents of the pests.

We have identified one bed bug specimen in an isolated location on the Duncan High School campus. Pest control professionals were immediately contacted and conducted an inspection for additional specimens.  None were found. However, out of precaution, Duncan High School will begin a recommended course of action.  This will have a very small impact on the school day and your child's learning.  In fact, most students will likely notice nothing out of the ordinary.

The principal did not specify where the bugs were found.

No other information has been released at this time.
