OKLAHOMA CITY – An auto-pedestrian accident in northwest Oklahoma City left two people injured Tuesday afternoon.

Initial reports indicate two people were injured around 2:30 p.m. after being struck by a vehicle near Hefner and May.

Emergency crews at the scene told NewsChannel 4 that they believe the driver of the vehicle suffered some sort of medical issue prior to the accident.

Authorities say the pedestrians were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

Traffic in the area is backed up. Drivers are encouraged to find an alternate route.
