Reports: 4 dead in Kentucky plane crash

EDDYVILLE, KY.– Search crews have located the wreckage of a small plane in a wooded area off of Buckberry Trail, which runs off of KY 810 South, according to Kentucky State Police.

Officials confirm four people have died from the plane crash, including the pilot and three passengers.

KSP responded to a report of a plane crash near the area of KY 810 South in the Suwanee community of Lyon County around 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Police said a 911 call was received from a Lyon County resident, telling police that a 7-year-old female had walked to his home and told him she had been involved in a plane crash.

The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The FAA Memphis Center has confirmed that a distress call was made from a private aircraft in the vicinity of the reported crash.

KSP, the Lyon County Sherrif’s Office, and multiple fire and rescue units searched the area.
