Reports: Body discovered in Oklahoma River

OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities in Oklahoma City say they are recovering a body near the Oklahoma River.

Just before 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, officers and emergency crews were called to the shoreline of the river after receiving a report about someone in the river.

Initial reports indicate a body was found four feet from the shoreline in the river.

No word on the victim’s identity or how they ended up in the river.

Officials say homicide detectives have been called to the scene to investigate.
