OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City Thunder fans are counting down the days until forward Kevin Durant is officially a free agent.

Rumors have been swirling for weeks regarding what the superstar will do next.

Will he stay or will he go?

According to ESPN, Durant already has meetings set up with the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Before he begins meeting with other teams, league sources told ESPN that he will meet with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Durant officially becomes a free agent at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 1.

However, sources told the site that Durant will meet with the Thunder on Wednesday night.

NBA rules ban any team from discussing contract specifics with Durant before he is officially a free agent.

But experts believe the Thunder’s meeting will simply discuss the team’s direction and broader topics.

Free agents cannot sign a new contract until July 8.
