Reports: Oklahoma Highway Patrol car damaged during chase along I-35

NORMAN, Okla. – Authorities have stopped a man who led troopers and officers on a chase along a busy interstate.

Around 9 a.m., officers with the Norman Police Department attempted to pull over a car heading northbound on I-35.

The driver refused to stop, leading officials on a chase south of Norman.

At one point, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers became involved in the pursuit.

Initial reports indicate at least one patrol car was damaged as a result of the chase.

Just before 9:20 a.m., authorities were able to stop the man near mile marker 100.

No word on what charges the driver may be facing or what started the initial traffic stop.
