NORMAN, Okla. – An Oklahoma football player bonded out of jail just hours after being arrested for criminal trespassing in his hometown, according to the Norman Transcript.

The newspaper reports that OU wide receiver DeDe Westbrook was arrested for criminal trespassing in Cameron, Texas on Monday.

Westbrook bonded out of the Milan County Jail and he was released.

Last season, Westbrook was named Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year after catching 46 passes for 743 yards, which resulted in four touchdowns for the Sooners.

He was the team’s second leading receiver, behind Sterling Shepard.

“We are aware of the situation and are addressing it internally,” OU spokesman Mike Houck said.

No other details are being released at this time.
