Reports: Westboro may protest Robin Williams funeral

Oscar-winning actor and comedian Robin Williams apparently took his own life at his Northern California home Monday, law enforcement officials said. Williams was 63.

LOS ANGELES – As the world continues to mourn the loss of an amazing actor and comedian, another group is expected to add fuel to the fire.

According to the LA Times, the memorial service for Robin Williams is supposed to be a small, private affair,

However, the newspaper claims Westboro Baptist Church may picket the event.

Some experts say the group often threatens to protest events but those threats do not materialize.

Williams was found dead last Monday inside his California home.

Authorities say initial reports lead them to believe he died due to “asphyxia due to hanging,” but it could take weeks before toxicology reports come back.
