OKLAHOMA CITY—Residents at a local apartment complex woke up to heavy smoke and flames after an overnight blaze destroyed some of their buildings.

Fire crews were called to the Raindance Apartments near N.W. 122nd and Penn around 4 a.m. Sunday.

Firefighters say two women who spotted the flames in an upper unit ran door to door, waking up residents and helping them evacuate.

Authorities say sixteen units were burned but no one was hurt.

So far, the exact cost of the damage is not known.
