FORT SMITH, AR. — One teacher is receiving praise for his selflessness.

Matt Neissl, a teacher at Ramsey Jr. High in Fort Smith, Arkansas was helping students get through the torrential rains that poured in.

But he didn’t just give them a helping hand, he gave them piggy back rides through the knee-deep water from the parking lot into the school.

A good amount of water reportedly got inside the school building, but school remained in session.

Nevertheless, it was a selfless and valiant act of kindness that has people calling Mr. Neissl “Teacher of the Year.”
