Shots fired at Oklahoma college after late night concert

LANGSTON, Okla. – Police say shots were fired early Thursday morning at an Oklahoma college.

Officials say the shooting took place around 2:15 a.m. after a late night concert at Langston University.

Logan County officials say several fights broke out after the concert and during one of those fights a non-student suspect fired several shots into the air.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Officials say the shooting suspect was taken into custody.

Langston University released the following statement after the shooting:

Langston University police immediately apprehended a suspect after a shot was fired into the air following a campus concert celebrating homecoming weekend Wednesday night.

Campus police witnessed a man firing the gun into the air and immediately arrested him for possessing and discharging a weapon on campus. The suspect is not a Langston University student. Guns are prohibited at Langston University.
