ARLINGTON, Texas (CNN)– An underground pipe is to blame for a sinkhole that formed at Texas Ranger’s Ballpark Tuesday.

Officials say the water soaked the infield and created the sinkhole near the pitcher’s mound.

Crews were able to repair the field in time for the game between the Rangers and the Cleveland Indians.

However, both teams were forced to cancel their pregame batting practice.
