ARLINGTON, Tex. – Six Flags in Arlington, Tex. reopened today after inspecting all the rides.

The park had to be shut down Wednesday night after heavy rains caused flooding at the attraction.

Water covered the walkways and underneath the rollercoasters,  making Six Flags look more like a water park.

Forecasters say about 2 to 3.5 inches of rain fell in just one hour.

Some drivers outside the park were stranded in the rising waters, forcing officials to shut down several roads.

More rain is expected for north Texas heading into the weekend.
