An eleven-year-old may have found a way to literally make beer that’s out of this world.
Highlands Ranch, Colo.,- Eleven-year-old Michael Bodzianowski, recently won a competition to test beer brewing in microgravity.
Michael’s experiment to see how the fermentation process works in microgravity is grabbing the attention of NASA.
This all started with an eleven-year-old wondering if one could brew beer in outer space.
Michael is not looking to drink beer himself, his proposal states that “the purpose of the experiment is for future civilization, as an emergency backup hydration and medical source.”
Michael’s humble science class project beat 4,000 other students projects in the National Center for Earth and Space Science Education competition.
