April is financial literacy month.

Almost a quarter of Oklahoma households are classified as "asset poor."

That means they have little or no financial cushion to fall back on if unemployment or another emergency wipes out their regular income.

Amy Welch with the Okla. Society of Certified Public Accountants talked with us about the smartest things to do with your tax refund.

A free financial fitness event is happening this Saturday.
