SAND SPRINGS, Okla. – Police say they are searching for two men accused of breaking into an Oklahoma home and coming face-to-face with a 12-year-old girl.

It all started Saturday morning when the girl heard several loud knocks at the front door.

“Something just told me not to open it. And I didn’t feel like going over there,” she told KJRH. “I started getting scared because I was thinking, ‘Why aren’t they leaving, you know?”

She was able to see the men and noticed one of them was wearing a hard hat and a neon vest.

“He looked like a construction worker and that made me want to open the door because I wasn’t concerned about it,” she said. “They looked nice.”

However, those men suddenly broke through a back door.

“They were talking real loud, they were just yelling, having a good time,” she said. “They didn’t expect me to be in there, just sitting there.”

She says she hid in a closet and when the men found her, they took off running.

Police say they are looking for two men with dark complexions last seen driving an older light blue four-door sedan.

If you have any information, call the Sand Springs Police Department at (918) 245-8777.
