NORMAN, Okla. -- The OU football team hadn't met with the media since Bob Stoops announced Trevor Knight would be the team's starting quarterback last Thursday. Today, the Sooners discussed Knight and backup quarterback Blake Bell's new roles with the team.

Several Sooner players spoke of the new versatility at the position as both Knight and Bell are able to both run and throw effectively.  Linebacker Corey Nelson even went as far to compare Knight to last year's Heisman trophy winner, Johnny Manziel.

Bob Stoops also mentioned that Blake Bell would still be used in the 'belldozer package' in short yardage and goal line scenarios.

KFOR Sports, Nate Feken was in Norman today to talk with the team and has an update on the signal caller position.
