Spencer suspects wanted in violent robbery

SPENCER, Okla. - Three masked men are on the run after robbing a Spencer couple at gunpoint.

It happened just after 7 p.m. Monday on the 9700 block of N.E. 26th St.

Police said the couple is in their late 60s.

The man got a phone call and walked out of the house.

His daughter Stacy Haden said that's when someone attacked.

"He came outside," Haden said. "When he came out, he hit him in the head with the gun. He knocked him down and put a knee in his back. Then he came inside for my mom and put a gun to her head. He said he was going to kill her. He asked her, where was your money and that kind of stuff."

The man ripped off the necklace from her mother's neck.

Police said the suspects were three masked man wearing dark clothes.

One was an African American male, the other two men were caucasian.

The suspects made off with jewelry and cash.

They also stole the couple's car but it was recovered at a church in Midwest City near Post and N.E. 10th St.

That area is now being searched.

The men are considered armed and dangerous.
